Hello! My name is Addie Goettig and I am a senior at Utah Valley University majoring in Digital Cinema Production. I have an Associates' of Applied Science in Digital Cinema, an Associates' degree in University Studies, and a certificate of proficiency in Digital Cinema.
I am proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator and Microsoft Office. I am also knowledgable in other NLE softwares such as Avid Media Composer, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, and Blender.
I am currently working on becoming certified in Avid Media Composer.
I worked for BYU Broadcasting in their G&E department, and that is where I really fell in love with the magic that only happens specifically on set. However much I love being on set, editing has been a passion of mine throughout my entire life. I grew up watching movies and would edit little films and videos for my family since I was old enough to hold a camera and use the computer. I have extensive experience in all aspects of filmmaking, but I always come back to editing as the one thing I truly have a passion for.
Being able to build the story and watch it develop from an assortment of clips to something that can evoke such emotion into an audience is magical to me. Editing is the most fascinating part of the process because it is where the story comes to life. It’s like a puzzle to me, being able to sort through everything and find the diamond within the story is my favorite. I love collaborating and helping directors bring their vision to life in a way that is unique and true to their vision. I love movies and I love editing!
